How to Create a Post in WordPress

The software used to create this web site is named WordPress. It is very configurable and extensible. The basis of WordPress is the “post.” Think of it as an email, except it goes to the website instead of someone’s Mailbox.

One thing to keep in mind is the “category” you choose for your post.  The category tells WordPress where on the web site to display the post.  You will notice the categories are the same as the menu items on the web site, except the empty categories are not displayed on the menu.
